Who I Help and Why

I’ve been a USA Today Bestselling novelist, helped multi-NYT bestselling authors create sustainable businesses, and have managed millions of dollars in construction projects.

I love to find solutions that help grow businesses.

I love to write.

I love to strategize.

I love to analyze.

I love to profile people.

I love to build systems.

I’ve been doing this in construction and publishing for over thirty years and I’m just getting started.

My Successes

Yes, Rippling Roots is fucking new. No, Rippling Roots doesn’t have a lot of reviews. My successes were done while I worked for other people. The reviews for my work are under their names.

However, I did do one thing on my own and it was successful enough to get my family and me up to Alaska. The Real Indie Author’s Story Stamina System—helping authors write more consistently and build bestseller careers by using the natural strengths of their unique personalities, not working against them because the world told them to.

Now that I’m in Alaska, I see small businesses that need the same kind of system—one that builds on what’s real, what’s sustainable, and what feels like you.

My Why

I want you to grow.
I want you to thrive.
I want you to build a business that lets you care for your family and finally take that real vacation you’ve been putting off.

That’s the heart behind every workbook I create, every course I build, and every service I offer.

I’m not just a social media content creator. Good gods, I’m really not.
I’m not just a blog writer.
I’m not just a newsletter manager.

I grow people.

👉 I help you figure out what services you want to offer, what services your people actually need, and how to shape your message so the right people find you.

That’s what I do.
And that’s why Rippling Roots exists.

How I’m Different

I’m a little different because of where I’ve been:

  • I spent nearly 30 years in construction management—building schedules, budgets, systems, training systems, and structures that had to hold real weight.

  • And for the same 30 years, I’ve been an author—building worlds, writing stories, and helping others find their voice.

I’m creative and analytical.
I understand how structure and flexibility work together.
And I know that your business needs both to thrive.

Work With Me

Greatest Accomplishments

A person in a wheelchair wearing a blue shirt is moving through a spacious, modern indoor public space with high ceilings, large windows, and several levels visible.

I helped grow a business from $140,000 yearly revenue to over a million dollars in one year, using strategic marketing approaches, implementing LEAN operational systems, and transforming their in-house systems into robust revenue-generating machines.

After three years, that company was generating and easily maintaining over $10,000,000 yearly revenue, with significantly decreased marketing and operational costs.

Understand, we didn’t use social media to build this. We focused on management training, LEAN systems, making estimates better while being competitive, and writing strong technical proposals.

Cover display of five fantasy book covers by F. J. Blooding, with titles like 'Prequel Demon Whiskey,' 'Ancients,' 'Breaking Whiskey,' and 'October Eclipse,' featuring female characters and supernatural themes, set against a dark, starry background.

In 2012, I joined the ranks of USA Today Bestselling Authors with Mind Raider, a co-written science fiction space opera.

I’ve since gone on to write and publish over 27 books in science fiction and urban fantasy.

My longest bestselling series is Whiskey Witches, and it continues to sell well through multiple mediums.

Almost every time I launch a new book, I hit bestseller lists.
