1. The Children’s Hospital of Aurora
Spotted the breakdown that almost shut down The Children’s Hospital of Aurora mid-construction. During the audit, I developed a streamlined plan and rallied the contractors invested in completing the design. And if you don’t think that was messaging, you’ve never stood in front of a room full of old dogs and convinced them to change course.
2. Multi-Million Dollar Electrical Contractor
Audited their messaging and found the problem: they were talking over their clients’ heads. We shifted their positioning from “elite electrical contractor dedicated to bringing innovative solutions” to “innovative electrical contractor delivering high-quality installations at affordable prices.” Then I showed them the systems they needed to back it up. Today, they’re a billion-dollar company serving three states.
3. Mobile Dog Grooming Business
In her audit, I uncovered two problems: unclear positioning and a bottleneck in her onboarding system. The solution wasn’t complicated — we created the easiest ad campaign ever (pictures of freshly groomed dogs in bow ties and bandanas). Then I found software designed for roaming service providers, set it up so clients could book by service area, and tied it all into the website I built for her. She went from “no one’s heard of her” to fully booked within a month.
4. Cleaning Business
In her audit, I spotted a disconnect: her ads and website didn’t show the people who would actually be entering clients’ homes. That lack of trust was costing her — she was even getting hate mail. I told her to put faces front and center in her ads, posts, and site. The shift was immediate. She went from being attacked online to fully booked, hiring new employees, expanding her service area, and crossing the million-dollar mark. (She was close before — but this pushed her over the edge.)
5. Small Electrical Contractor
In his audit, I uncovered that his marketing was attracting low-value clients who didn’t respect his expertise or pay on time. I recommended an educational content strategy to showcase his authority and connect him with higher-caliber clients. The result? He stopped chasing late payments and started landing the clients who valued his work. AND, yes. People actually read the article about receptacles. I’m not even kidding. To this day, it’s the highest-drawing blog post on his site second only to the one about lights.
